Accordion Fold Book Page Ornament

Materials Needed:

Card Stock

Book Pages or Scrapbooking Paper

Ribbon
Your Choice of Embellishments

Laying a sheet of cardstock horizontal, cut two 2 inch strips and fold each strip 'accordion' style.

From recycled book pages {or scrapbooking paper} cut two additional strips, 1 1/2 inches wide and fold both 'accordion' style.

Connect the edges of the cardstock strips together at each end to form a circle, gluing in place. I like to use Gorilla Super Glue for gluing in small spaces as it dries super quick, holds very well, and doesn't burn my fingertips! Connect the book page folds the same way, creating a second circle.

Cut two circles from your cardstock using a 1 1/2 inch scrapbooking punch {or cut by hand}. Hot glue one circle onto the center of the book page circle.

Cut a strip of ribbon for the hanger. The second circle gets hot glued onto the back of the cardstock circle along with your looped ribbon for hanging. Hot Glue the book page circle to the front of the cardstock circle.

Now you are ready to embellish the center as you please ~ You can really get creative! I used a wooden cut heart {you can find at your local craft store for about 20 cents}. I used more Gorilla Super Glue to coat the heart then sprinkled on PK Glitter Glitz in Silver. The Gorilla Super Glue dries hard and adheres the glitter very well; not trailing glitter everywhere!

All of the ornament tutorials featured are very basic and allow you to create them to your own personal taste and style ~ be creative and have fun! Enjoy!
